The Satoyama Mace Initiative community builds relationships and establishes a network for global sustainability efforts. Its main purpose is to use carbon reduction technology, biodiversity carbon sequestration technology development and evaluation, biodiversity carbon reduction plan research, and biodiversity carbon credits issuance, which creates a sustainable economic chain with certification, and implement the Satoyama Initiative and the "Kunming-Montreal Global Biodiversity Outline" of the 15th Conference of the Parties to the Convention on Biological Diversity (CBD COP15) global agreement. The unicorn is a legendary creature and a symbol of wealth and prosperity. This community is the Unicorn Partner Community, which aims to combine the global biodiversity framework with the Satoyama Initiative to establish a sustainable development chain. United indigenous people cooperate for renovation. (UNICORN) The four overarching goals to be achieved by 2050 focus on ecosystem and species health, including halting human-induced species extinction, sustainable use of biodiversity, equitable sharing of benefits, implementation and financing practices, and achieving Net Zero 2050. Participants are required to sign the "Global Declaration for Equitable and Ethical Carbon Credit Practices: An Ethical and Action Framework for the Care of Our Common Home". The "Satoyama Mace Initiative" aims to utilize UN-authorized biodiversity-based decarbonization methodologies to help local communities and farmers generate sustainable Carbon Credit income, tightly linking ecological protection with economic well-being. This realizes the core goals of ecological justice and caring for the poor. Team members stated that the initiative’s core spirit aligns precisely with Pope Francis’s call in the encyclical Laudato Si’, which emphasizes “our common home” and the reality that “both the earth and the poor suffer.” The receipt of this highest-level response and blessing from the Vatican grants the initiative the utmost spiritual recognition for its universal values, which combine environmental sustainability, social justice, and local livelihoods.
